The 2011 Kawasaki Z1000SX

Pictures have surfaced on-line of the great looking Kawasaki Z1000SX.

A very road focused sports-bike with great, why don’t we see more of this, options such as an adjustable screen.  Very much a sports-bike for everyday use, most likely plenty powerful and fun to ride, but not the in the road-going missile class.

With so many fantastic bikes out there at the minute or just on the horizon, why the hell do people buy cars!

Featured Club – Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club – Bangor Section

We’ve already added them to the UK Bike Club section of the site earlier in the week, but a bigger shout-out is due for the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club – Bangor Section.  RTWW Editor Nick met the club at the Fallen Heroes event last Sunday which VJMC had stopped at during their ride out to the Ards Peninsula.   You’ll find their web site at www.vjmcbangor.com where the club has tech sections, contact details, and news of ride outs.  RTWW wishes them all the best for the future and if you are the owner of a vintage Japanese machine RTWW would highly reccomend you seek out VJMC.

VJMC’s next meeting is on May 10th 2010 at the Byransburn Inn, Bangor, Co.Down, at 8pm.  New members always very welcome.

Kawasaki Day! Part 2 – The Versys 2010

Our second Kawasaki offering for today
is the restyled Versys, again due in early 2010. The ‘jack of all
trades’ bike falls into the sports tourer category and is already
highly regarded as a consummate all rounder.

The well thought of commuter, tourer,
and simply get on and go bike, gets reworked body panels and
headlights for the new year as a simple refresh of the existing
model. The basic bike spec isn’t being altered it would seem but
then the old adage, ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ would apply.

This blogger is hoping for a lower seat
option as he unfortunately is a member of the short-arse biker club,
and would definitely consider the Versys as a ‘work’ bike… if my
feet aren’t dangling.

It’s Kawasaki Day! Part 1 – The Z1000

We’re having a bit of a Kawasaki day
today here on the Ride The Wild Wind Blog, and are going to give you
some video teasers for two upcoming models from the Japanese company.

First up is the new Z1000 which will be
making an appearance in 2010. This newly engineered model is
promising a lot of fun, and if the video is anything to go by looks
like it will deliver. Aggressive styling, great noises, and suitably
high-tech readouts make for a mouthwatering package, hopefully test
rides will confirm the hype the video delivers.
