Brammo introduces the Enertia Plus

Brammo has announced an updated Enertia, the Enertia Plus.  The new bike will give 80 miles range on a charge and carrys a price tag of $8,995.

The extra range puts an extra $1,000 on the originals price but it’s still not bad compared to other electric bike manufacturers.  General specs for the bike remain unchanged though optional panniers will give added functionality to this well put together commuter.

An extra insentive for existing users to upgrade when the bike launches next year is a $2,500 rebate, which is another plus for the Plus!

The Holy Grail of Fuel Economy

A lot of bikers own multiple motorcycles.  Some for fun, some for off road, some for sport, and some for commuting.  It’s the last category that’s of interest to Allert Jacobs, who in his pursuit of better fuel economy for his Honda Innova 125i has added a little DIY flair.  Almost doubling the Honda’s already light fuel sipping to a reported 214 MPG, he’s created a great everyday commuter for those who want every gallon to count.  Not too sure if it’s completely safe in a crosswind, or if you wouldn’t attract some odd looks, but hey, you can’t have it all.
